Build your own Better Bombs & Gardens deck.

Basic Lands Shell (52 +12 SB)

    Artifacts & Enchantments (7)
    Mox Diamond
    Zuran Orb
    Expedition Map
    Fastbond *
    Sylvan Library
    Crucible of Worlds

    Instants & Sorceries (11)
    Crop Rotation *
    Fatal Push
    Green Sun’s Zenith *
    Inquisition of Kozilek
    Traverse the Ulvenwald
    Abrupt Decay
    Life from the Loam
    Living Wish
    Sylvan Scrying

    Creatures (11)
    Birds of Paradise
    Deathrite Shaman
    Lotus Cobra
    Scavenging Ooze
    Azusa, Lost but Seeking
    Courser of Kruphix
    Eternal Witness

    Primeval Titan

    Utility Lands (12)
    Barren Moor
    Bojuka Bog
    Buried Ruin
    Dark Depths
    Ghost Quarter
    Maze of Ith
    Strip Mine **
    Thespian’s Stage
    Tranquil Thicket
    Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
    Volrath’s Stronghold
    Wasteland *

    Manabase (9)
    Overgrown Tomb
    Misty Rainforest
    Verdant Catacombs
    Windswept Heath
    Wooded Foothills
    Snow-Covered Forest

    SB: Glacial Chasm
SB: The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
    SB: Walking Ballista
    SB: Vampire Hexmage
    + a minimum of
    1 Wrath effect
    1 Piece of Graveyard Hate
1 Piece of Artifact (and/or Enchantment) Hate
    1 Piece of Hand Disruption
    3 Flex

    This is my preference:

    SB: Night Incarnate
    SB: Scavenger Grounds
    SB: Krosan Grip
    SB: Duress
    SB: Sylvan Safekeeper
    SB: Encroach
    SB: Phyrexian Revoker

    Here is why:

Night Incarnate is a Wrath I can find game 1 with Living Wish and is also a castable threat game 2. It’s leave play trigger means I am not missing much if it gets removed, I still have my Wrath. Other options are Damnation and Toxic Deluge.

Scavenger Grounds fits optimally with the tutors already in the maindeck, it also gets around Grand Abolisher, which is a key piece of some of the Hermit Druid lists that would otherwise be able to win unaffected. Grafdigger’s Cage has more versatility and is a better choice for a larger event or an unpredictable meta, despite its lack of synergy with Green Sun’s Zenith.

Krosan Grip answers both Back to Basics and Blood Moon, the two big bad threats that end your day. Seal of Primordium is also fine in this slot but it is the difference of playing it under or over the problem card.

Collective Brutality has versatility, Duress is the more impactful, especially as a turn 1 play.

Encroach doesn’t see enough highlander play and I own 4 foils. Play your own flex slot.

Sylvan Safekeeper is hard for control to beat and some consider it a must include in sideboards for removal heavy decks, up to you.

Revoker is another fine wishable critter.

Here are my choices for the remaining 11 slots in the deck depending on deck.

    GBw Package (8)
    Knight of the Reliquary
    Renegade Rallier
    Swords to Plowshares

    SB: Knight of Autumn
    SB: Choke

Variant: adding Flash to the deck

    “Kelt Flip”

Warning: This deck is one of the most (if not the most) complicated highlander decks to play.

The numbers in the “[ ]” brackets are the game points (as in 3 game points for a win and 1 for a draw) that correlate with each card based on deck performance only some cards have these numbers as some of the lesser played cards did not have a large enough sample size.

I like how there are two vault pod lists in the top 4, both are Bant and playing key and GSZ but neither are playing Derevi.
